Present Continuous Statements

Hi there! How's it going?

Today our class is going to be about Present Continuous Statements and Conjunctions

Concept

The present continuous statements we will see them in the affirmative form, the negative form and the question form.

So, let's begin. We're going to see

I am		I'm
You are		You're
He is		He's
She is		She's
We are		We're
They are		They're

That is the affirmative form, now we're going to mention the negative form:

I am	I'm not
You are	You're not	You aren't
He is	He's not	He isn't
She is	She's not	She isn't
We are	We're not	We aren't
They are	They're not	They aren't

And the conjunctions are: and, but and so.

Now, the questions, the possible questions and answers:

Am I?
Yes, you are | No, you're not | No, you aren't.
Are you?
Yes, I am | No, I'm not.
Is he?
Yes, he is | No, he's not | No, he isn't
Is she?
Yes, she is | No, she's not | No, she isn't.
Are we?
Yes, you are | No, you're not | No, you aren't.
Are they?
Yes, they are | No, they're not | No, they aren't.

Example

OK. Let's see some examples:

I'm wearing shoes.
You're wearing shoes.
He's wearing shoes.
She's wearing shoes.
We're wearing shoes.
They're wearing shoes.

These were all affirmative statements. Now, we're going to see negative statements:

Goodbyes

I'm not wearing boots.
You're not wearing boots.
He's not wearing boots.
She's not wearing boots.
We're not wearing boots.
They're not wearing boots.

And the other form of negative:

You aren't wearing boots.
He isn't wearing boots.
She isn't wearing boots.
We aren't wearing boots.
They aren't wearing boots.

Now, we're gonna go on the question form:

Are you wearing boots?
You can either say:
Yes, I am | No, I'm not.
Is he wearing boots?
Yes, he is | No, he's not | No, he isn't.
Is she wearing boots?
Yes, she is | No, she's not | No, she isn't.
Are they wearing boots?
Yes, they are | No, they're not | No, they aren't.

Now, let's see some examples with conjunctions.

It's windy, and it's cold.
It's sunny, but it's cold.
It's raning, so it's wet.
